Preamble recitation & Pledge taking ceremony held at GCW Udhampur to mark National Voters Day

 

UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 25: In a bid to mark National Voters Day as a social movement to rediscover the democratic values, Shikshit Bharat Club in collaboration with Literary club Government College for Women Udhampur today organized a preamble recitation and pledge taking ceremony, with the theme ‘NOHING LIKE VOTING, I VOTE FOR SURE’ under “AZADI KA AMRUT MAHOTSAV” where Prof. Dr. Monika Sharma was the chief guest on the ocassion.

 In her address, Dr. Monika Sharma appealed all that in order to encourage the young voters to take active part in political process and making election inclusive, accessible and participative, it is very important to guide young voters through organization of such programs. 

Around 150 students of the college participated in the programme. The entire Proceeding of the programme were carried on and convened by Prof.Yash Paul, Convenor Shikshit Bharat Club.
