SAMBA, MAY 17:  To empower the public and resolve their grievances, a public outreach camp, under weekly Block Divas program was organized in Ghagwal, here today.

The programme was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC)  Abhishek Sharma, who listened to the concerns and problems faced by the people in the area.

The public projected their local problems and demanded road connectivity, drinking water supply and adequate power supply.

The DC emphasized that the Block Diwas programme is an innovative move to empower the public and resolve their grievances through inter-departmental coordination.

The programme also focuses on digital governance and doorstep governance to ensure transparency and effectiveness in resolving the issues faced by the public. The DC assured the public that their problems would be resolved in a time bound manner.

After the programme, the Deputy Commissioner inspected Degree College Samba, rural roads and other Rural Development Department (RDD) works in Jatwal and nearby villages.

The visit was aimed at getting a first-hand understanding of the issues faced by the people and the progress of the ongoing development works in the area.

The Block Diwas programme and the subsequent visit by the DC have been hailed by the public, who hope that their problems will be resolved soon.
