SAMBA MAY 22- Former minister and Senior Vice President Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh BJP Mr Surjeet Singh Slathia today described a vibrant private sector as key to job generation, saying these open up vistas of opportunities for professionals, skilled and unskilled work-force.
Inaugurating Sethi Jewellers at Samba, Mr Slathia highlighted the importance of private entrepreneurship and said these create job givers and contribute to productivity.
“It is better to be a job provider than a job seeker”, Mr Slathia said, adding that drive and initiative among youth in establishing profit generating units could be the answer to burgeoning unemployment in a place like Jammu. Entrepreneurship assumes immense significance in the modern times, he said and hoped that a positive approach and progressive vision in the private sector can be beneficial to society. It is an ethical responsibility of the entrepreneurs to ensure supply of credible products at affordable prices. Credulity is a huge investment in the business sector and those engaged in entrepreneurship should understand it for having harmonious relationships with clientele, he maintained.
Complimenting the entrepreneurs, Mr Slathia wished them all the best in their endeavours and stressed upon generating jobs for young people. Such initiatives are bound to have a positive impact on the economic activities, he said, adding that entrepreneurship is a tool for youngsters pursuing careers.
