 Prachar Rath Flagged off at Surankote

POONCH, JUNE 13: District Jal Jeevan Mission Poonch on Tuesday organised a Jan- Sabha here in Dak Bunglow Surankote. PRI Members of Pani Samities and employees of the department besides the general public participated in the event.

The Jan Sabha was presided over by Shahnawaz Choudhary, DDC Councilor Surankote, while Er. Rajinder K. Sharma, Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Poonch was the guest of honour.

 Muzafar Hussain, IEC coordinator, briefed the audience about the JJM Mission, while Waseem and Imtiaz Ahmad, highlighted the role and responsibilities of Pani Samitis. 

Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic Circle Poonch, while addressing the audience, stressed on the role and the support from public in implementing the JJM in the district ensuring early completion of all the schemes under JJM, a flagship program of the Government to provide HAR GHAR NAL SE JAL.

Shahnawaz Choudhary, DDC Councilor Surankote addressed the audience and appreciated the efforts of Government and Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Poonch in particular  for reaching out to the Public and putting his best Efforts in implementing the schemes.

Er Riyaz Ahmad XEN, AEE Er Abdul Gafoor among Junior Engineers of Surankote also remained present in the Jan Sabha.

Major highlight of the event remained the flagging off of A Parchar Rath as a part of the IEC activities as awareness program for Jal Jeevan Mission was Flagged - off by Shahnawaz Choudhary DDC Surankote and Er Rajinder K Sharma, SE hydraulic Circle Poonch, in the presence of PRIs and general Public.

The Parchar Rath moved through the surankote Market and rally was taken raising the slogans of JJM. The Prachar Rath shall be moving  to all the villages in the Surankote to create awareness among the people for schemes launched by Govt for the public, Jal Jeevan Mission Program, Role of pani Samities, judicious use of water and catch the rain under Jal Shakti Abhiyan.
