UDHAMPUR, JUNE 14: A one day blood donation camp was organized by District Red Cross Society, in collaboration with 137 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and District Hospital to mark “World Blood Donor Day” on the theme “Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often ” here at 137 Battalion Udhampur.
Commandant 137 Bn Central Reserve Police Force, Ramesh Kumar was the chief guest, while Secretary District Red Cross Society, Udhampur Dr V.P Sharma presided over the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest complimented the initiative taken by the District Red Cross Society and Health department for the noble cause of saving one's lives. He also appreciated the officers, jawans for participating in blood donation camp. While highlighting the importance and benefits of blood donation, the Commandant said that such camps would go a long way to minimize the paucity of blood in health institutions from time to time.
During the Camp, as many as 21 jawans participated in the camp and donated the blood for the noble cause of saving precious lives.
