Domail, July 1, 2023 — The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army welcomed the first batch of Amarnath Yatris at Domail and Chandanwari along both routes on Friday.
The pilgrims were welcomed by the Chinar Warriors, who showered them with flower petals and offered them refreshments. The pilgrims were also briefed about the security arrangements in place for the yatra. The Indian Army wished the pilgrims a safe and happy yatra.
The Amarnath Yatra is an annual pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir. The yatra is held in the month of July-August every year.
The Chinar Corps has also put in place a number of security measures to ensure the safety of the pilgrims. These measures include deployment of troops, installation of CCTV cameras, and deployment of sniffer dogs.
The Indian Army always committed to providing a safe and secure environment for the pilgrims during the Amarnath Yatra.
