Students Use Art to Break the Silence on Drug Abuse

Poonch, Sept. 10 : Poonch Campus University of Jammu held a painting event on Saturday to raise awareness about the drug menace. The event was organized by the Girls Hostel and was attended by students from both the girls' and boys' hostels.

The event was inaugurated by Director Poonch Campus Prof. Rakesh Vaid. In his address, he said that drug abuse is a serious problem that affects individuals, families, and communities. He urged the students to use their creativity to raise awareness about the issue and to help combat drug abuse.


The students responded by creating a variety of paintings that depicted the harmful effects of drug abuse. Some of the paintings showed the physical and mental damage that drugs can cause, while others showed the social and economic problems that drug abuse can create.

The event was a success in raising awareness about the drug menace. It also showed the power of art to communicate important messages and to inspire change.
