Encourages people to unite against drug menace

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 06: As part of the weekly Block Diwas, District Development Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today led a public meeting at Mishriwala, in block Bhalwal, .

BDC Chairman, Kuldeep Raj, Sarpanchs, Panches besides district officers and concerned members of the civil society were present at the occasion.

During the gathering, the DDC listened to the concerns and grievances voiced by the PRI members and the people of the area . The matters encompassed critical aspects such as power supply, school infrastructure and mobile connectivity. Additionally, the pressing issues of social welfare pensions, BPL card distribution and the provision of a playfield were also brought to the forefront.

Highlighting the importance of efficient coordination between departments and public representatives, underscored the need for timely resolution of these issues. Genuine concerns regarding road construction and healthcare facilities were also acknowledged by the DDC.

The DDC, in his address, recognised the urgency of issues related to power and water supply, as well as road connectivity. He assured the public that the district administration would strive for prompt solutions, while setting clear deadlines for various works. The session was marked by an open forum where members of the public had the opportunity to interact personally with the BDC Chairman and the DDC.

In a call to action, the DDC urged the public to unite against the menace of drug trafficking in society. He encouraged community members to collaborate with authorities to apprehend those involved in this unlawful activity.
