Jammu Sept 14 : J&K UT 3 x 3 Basketball Championship for Men and Women was held at MA Stadium on the 13th and 14th of September 2023. A total of 21 teams, both Men and Women participated in the championship with players from different districts of J & K .
Among the Women the Smt Harjeet Kour Memorial Trophy was won by STC Warriors, and Team Hustle was placed first runner up. Among the Mens the final match was held between Biba Boys Vs STC Warriors with Biba Boys winning the Late S Harbans Singh (DSP) Memorial Trophy.
The Player of the Tournament among men was awarded to Jaskirat Singh and among women it was awarded to Chitreshi. They were also given a cash prize of 2100 each.
Rajeev Sharma Member Sports Council and Former President J and K Hockey was the Chief Guest for the day. He congratulated all the participating teams and assured the teams that he would help any player in need.
Chief Sports Officer Mohd Hanif (JKAS) was the Guest of Honour for the day along with Abhimanyu Singh Katoch. Dr Vikram Handa , Principal Tiny Tots Hr Sec School , Kuldeep Magotra were among the notable dignitaries present. Harjinder Singh STC Chief Coach, Sushma Jamwal, Chief Coach JK Sports Council, Ranbir Singh Coach from Youth Services and Sports and Manoj (Referee) were among others who coached the teams and acted as officials during the Championship. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr Vikram Handa who in his address urged the Players to do their best in the upcoming 3 x3 National Championship.
