JAMMU, JANUARY 23: Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Shishir Gupta visited the Shrine of Baba Ballo ji at Mathwar today and reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming Basant Panchami Mela to be held on February 14 this year. The mela is a popular religious and cultural event that attracts thousands of devotees and tourists every year.
The ADC inspected the facilities and amenities at the shrine premises and directed the concerned officers to ensure adequate supply of water and power. He also reviewed the security arrangements and traffic management plan for the smooth conduct of the mela. He asked the police and administration to coordinate and work in synergy to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incident.
The ADC also issued special instructions to the mobile network providers to improve the connectivity in the area, as the mela is expected to witness a huge rush of visitors. He said that the district administration is committed to provide all the necessary support and assistance to the shrine management and the devotees for the successful celebration of the mela.
The ADC was accompanied by ACG Manisha, SDM Jammu North Nitish Rajora, Executive Engineers from JPDCL and PWD, Tehsildar Bhawal and other officials. He also interacted with the locals and the shrine committee members and sought their feedback and suggestions for the improvement of the mela arrangements.
