Discusses Action plan for Socio-Economic Profiling of Beneficiaries
POONCH, JANUARY 19: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary presided over a crucial meeting of the District Level Monitoring Committee for the Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi – PM SAVANidhi scheme here today in his office chamber.
The meeting aimed to discuss the implementation of the scheme and its associated initiatives.
The meeting was attended by esteemed officials including General Manager of District Industries Centres, Dr. Mohammad Tanwir; Programme Officer of ICDS, Khalid Hussain Wafa; Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anees Altaf Nabi; Chief Education Officer; Chief Executive Officer of MC Poonch, Mohd. Yaqoob; Project Director of DUDA; Deputy Registrar of Cooperative /DIO, Vishaldeep Chandan; District Social Welfare Officer, Mohinder Paul; Assistant Director of FCS&CA, Waheed Ahmed; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. S.M Younis; LDM, Ashutosh Koul Raj; and Superintendent of ITI and other concerned officers were present.
The primary focus of the deliberations was the “SVANidhi se Samriddhi” program, which entails the Socio-Economic Profiling of PM SVANidhi Beneficiaries and their Families. This initiative aims to assess the socio-economic background of the PM SVANidhi beneficiaries and their families, determine their eligibility for different Central and State-specific welfare schemes, and facilitate their access to these schemes and benefits.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that several departments have multiple schemes in place to cater to the eligible beneficiaries. The departments were directed to ensure the comprehensive coverage of all eligible beneficiaries under different schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana with the issuance of RuPay Card, Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, NFSA portability benefits through the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) system, and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), among others.
To expedite the enrollment process, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned officers to organize awareness camps and outreach programs to facilitate the registration of beneficiaries.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch expressed his optimism that the concerted efforts of all departments involved would ensure the effective implementation of PM SVANidhi and the subsequent upliftment of street vendors and their families.
