REASI, JANUARY 19: “Ensuring last mile delivery of public services is the hallmark of present dispensation with emphasis on reaching the unreached with good governance at their doorsteps”, stated Director in Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Prabhari Officer for the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Sangeeta Gupta, while addressing a mega public outreach programme at Government Higher Secondary School Laiter, Pouni block in Reasi.
The event, held as part of VBSY, witnessed an overwhelming participation of locals and beneficiaries of government schemes besides being attended by various officers including ADC Reasi, Tehsildar Pouni, BDO Panthal and Pouni, BMO, PRI members, teachers, students and other prominent personalities.
As part of VBSY, Sangeeta Gupta, along with the participants, took pledge for Viksit Bharat, emphasizing the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Meri Kahani Meri Zubani initiative showcased the success stories and experiences of beneficiaries of various Central and UT government schemes.
During the event, message from the Prime Minister and a film highlighting the objectives of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra were screened.
Sangeeta Gupta distributed Ujjwala gas connections among the beneficiaries, offering a crucial source of clean energy to households in tribal areas.
While inspecting stalls set up by government departments, Director emphasised upon the officers to raise awareness and achieve saturation regarding major government schemes.
Addressing the gathering, Sangeeta Gupta encouraged citizens to actively participate in the ongoing VBS Yatra which is aimed at to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the benefit of government schemes and had direct interaction with the officials. She highlighted the importance of achieving saturation of all government schemes and ensuring last mile delivery in making India a developed nation by 2047.
While overseeing the activities being conducted through VBSY IEC van, she underscored the pivotal role of the vehicle in disseminating information about government sponsored schemes to all gram panchayats besides highlighting PM’s vision of a developed nation.
Expressing confidence in resolving public grievances within stipulated timeframes, Gupta emphasized the government’s dedication towards ensuring efficient governance. She praised the cultural performances of students involved in the Yatra, commending their vibrant display of India’s diverse heritage.
She appreciated the district administration for organizing successful Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra across the district, showcasing government’s commitment of providing benefits and timely services to its citizens.
