Poonch, January 02 : In a momentous occasion, the Additional Director of the State Sericulture Development Department Ashwani Kumar Sharma visited the Poonch Campus, where he engaged with the students and teaching faculty of the Department of Sericulture. The visit aimed to assess the progress and initiatives taken by the campus in the field of sericulture, particularly the innovative Cocoon Art and Craft Initiative by Dr. Rubia Bukhari, the Campus Officer, and In-Charge of the Department of Sericulture.
During the visit, the Additional Director of the State Sericulture Development Department Ashwani Kumar Sharma expressed his profound satisfaction with the Cocoon Art and Craft Initiative, recognizing it as a commendable effort in utilizing defective cocoons to create unique crafts. He commended Dr. Rubia Bukhari for her leadership and dedication to this initiative, highlighting the positive impact it has on promoting creativity within the sericulture sector.
Imparting words of encouragement to the students, the Additional Director urged them to actively participate in Dr. Bukhari’s initiative, emphasizing the importance of fostering creativity and sustainability within the sericulture industry.
