Haridwar, Uttarakhand: The Uttarakhand Police have registered a case against YouTuber Suraj Singh Parshwan for allegedly harassing and insulting Jain monks. A video went viral recently showing Parshwan questioning Jain monks about their practice of not wearing clothes. The video sparked outrage online, with many criticizing Parshwan’s disrespectful behavior.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took swift action, directing the police to investigate the matter thoroughly and take appropriate legal measures. The video reportedly shows Parshwan confronting the monks and asking them why they roam around naked. One of the monks calmly explained their religious beliefs and practices related to controlling desires.
Taking cognizance of the video circulated on social media regarding a youth misbehaving with some Digambara saints, Uttarakhand Police has started legal action by registering a case against the YouTuber Suraj Sinh Parshwan under sections 153A, 295A IPC and 67A IT Act.
