KATHUA, JUNE 25: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Ranjit Singh chaired a meeting of the Road Safety Committee to discuss and finalize measures to improve road safety in the district.
The meeting was attended by ASP Kathua Paramjit Singh, SE PWD (R&B) Kathua, RTO Kathua, XENs of PWD, PMGSY and other concerned officers.
The ADC emphasized the importance of road safety and directed the officials to take all necessary steps to reduce road accidents and fatalities. He stressed the need for strict enforcement of traffic rules, improved road infrastructure, and awareness campaigns.
The officials discussed a range of measures, including Intensifying traffic enforcement, including speeding, drunk driving, and helmet-wearing violations, Improving road conditions,
Conducting regular awareness campaigns in schools, colleges, and communities besides encouraging the use of public transportation and promoting carpooling.
The ADC urged all stakeholders to work together to make Kathua roads safer for all users. He appealed to the public to follow traffic rules, wear helmets, and drive responsibly.
