JAMMU, APRIL 28: Twenty existing entrepreneurs successfully completed a one-week Management Development Programme (MDP) orientation training conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Jammu, under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme.

The programme was inaugurated by Sher Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu.

The MDP aimed to enhance entrepreneurial skills, business management, and sustainable practices. Key sessions covered the RAMP Scheme, Entrepreneurship Opportunities in J&K, and Government Sponsored Schemes such as Mudra, Start-up India, Stand-Up India, ASPIRE, PMEGP, ZED, LEAN, and SC/ST Hub initiatives.

Participants engaged in activity-based learning on SWOT Analysis, Supply and Demand, Marketing Strategy, and Business Simulation. Expert sessions by CA Shubham Gupta focused on GST, CGTMSE, Book Keeping, Working Capital Management, Break Even Analysis, and Risk Management through Insurance. Compliance and registration procedures were also discussed.

A field visit to industrial units was organized in association with Lalit Mahajan, Chairman, Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), offering practical insights into manufacturing operations.

Other modules included Project Report Preparation, Leadership and Decision-Making, Branding, Packaging, Marketing, and Digital Marketing for Business Promotion.

The programme was coordinated by District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Jammu, Rajesh Kotwal with support from the course team comprising Monika Salaria, Rupali Choudhary and Humera Nazir.

The MDP’s successful completion highlights JKEDI’s commitment to nurturing a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
