JAMMU, APRIL 11: The NSS Unit of Government College of Education Jammu, organized a thought-provoking seminar and Preamble Pledge ceremony to commemorate the 133rd birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.


The event was held under the dynamic leadership of Principal of the college Dr. Jyoti Parihar and the guidance of NSS Programme Officer, Professor Sarita Dogra.

The celebration began with the solemn recitation of the Preamble, reaffirming the constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, which Dr. Ambedkar stood for. This was followed by a seminar where students eloquently expressed their thoughts on the life, struggles, and contributions of Dr. Ambedkar towards social justice and nation-building.

The seminar was judged by an esteemed panel comprising Dr. Rajinder Kour, Professor Anuradha Choudhary and Dr. Sonam Gandotra. Their insights and encouraging words added great value to the event.

The First Position was clinched by Salma Khatoon, second position by   Shiwali Sharma, while third Position went to Maansi Rajput.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished faculty members including Dr. Shubhra Jamwal, Professor Kiran Thapa, Professor Deepali, Professor Roopa Kumari, Dr. Shalini Sharma and Dr. Suraj Prakash, who appreciated the efforts of the students and emphasized the relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision in today’s time.

The NSS Unit continues to uphold the values of service, education, and equality through such meaningful engagements. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective commitment to carry forward the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
