NAGROTA JULY 14- Senior BJP leader Mr Devender Singh Rana today exhorted the meritorious students to design their academic path as per aptitude and innate abilities to meet the challenges of the obtaining competitive world.

“Having passed the crucial classes with flying colours, focus on now upon what you want to be in consultation with parents and teachers “, Mr Rana told 158 students  of Block Nagrota while felicitating them on their outstanding score in the recently declared results for class 10th and 12th.

Mr Devender Rana told the students that they were fortunate enough to pursue their studies in an era when the government led by the visionary Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi is focused on youth empowerment and giving new wings to those aspiring for excellence. He referred to the measures initiated during the past one decade in the educational sector of Jammu and Kashmir, which inter alia include establishment of about 50 degree colleges and enrolment of more than 45000 children, with girls benefiting the most. He recalled how difficult it used to be for the governments even to think of spending huge amounts of money in the field of education and skill development. But the Prime Minister has made it possible to spend more and more to provide modern education to the present generation, he asserted.

He said the dedicated efforts of the Centre and the Union Territory Administration have hugely done well in every sector, including education and skill development, which is visible on ground zero. He said the coming years of the Prime Minister’s third term is going to be game changer to empower youth with knowledge, skills and the confidence to pursue their dreams.

During his interaction with the meritorious students, Mr Rana enquired about their goals. He exuded confidence that their success stories in the exams will serve as an inspiration for youngsters in aiming high and realising their dreams.

While lauding the hard work and dedication of the students to make a mark in the exams, Mr Rana complimented the parents and the teachers also, acknowledging their unflinching support to meet the educational needs of their wards. Unlocking the potential of young minds in itself is a huge challenge, he added.

This was the second felicitation event, the first having been conducted in the Dansal Block wherein 198 students were honoured recently and the next felicitation will be going to be held on 17th of July in Blocks Amb Ghrota and Mathwar.

He said the BJP is sensitive to issues of immense public importance and endeavours are made to ensure better utility services in every area.

J&K transporters’ delegation meets Rana; highlight issues for redressal

JAMMU JULY 11- Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today highlighted the important role of the private transport industry in easing the lives of people by ensuring transport facilities, saying there has to be a fool-proof mechanism with regard to enforcing regulations and redressing grievances.

Interacting with a delegation of over 300 members of the All J&K Transport Welfare Association, led S. Ajit Singh and Mr Vijay Singh Chib, along with the Presidents of all the Transport Unions of J&K UT, Mr Rana assured while their genuine demands would be taken up at appropriate forum for earnest consideration, they too should cooperate the administration in adhering the norms for the general interest of the travelling and commuting public, vehicle pliers and smooth traffic management.

The delegation, inter-alia, raised the issues pertaining to the obtaining practice of e-challaning by the Traffic Department, saying this should not be just  to meet targets at the cost of vehicle commuters. They said while the e-challaning system seems to be of international standards, the road infrastructure, chowks, and crossings are of very low standard. If such systems are to be applied, there must be the best infrastructure in place as well, they argued.

The delegation called for streamlining the policies of the government and the Traffic Department to make these transport operators friendly. They sought amends in the current regulations and enforcement practices, saying due care should be taken for the  needs and rights of the citizens.

The delegation expressed serious apprehensions about the   inconsistent implementation of traffic laws and regulations, saying these could lead to unequal treatment of individuals. They stressed the need for strengthening the public trust in the system.

The delegation sought a dialogue between the transporters and the departments concerned for resolving the issues at the earliest.

Mr Rana assured that this will be taken up with all the concerned.

Booth Jan Samvad Maha Abhiyaan: 13.50 Cr Indians rose above poverty line under PM Modi’s leadership: Rana

MARH (NAGROTA) DECEMBER 21- Carrying forward Booth Jan Samvad Maha Abhiyaan in Jammu, Senior BJP leader Mr Devender Singh Rana today highlighted the landmark achievements registered by the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly during the past five years, saying that bringing 13.50 crore Indians above the poverty line across the country is itself a record of sorts, as per NITI Ayog data.

“This single unprecedented achievement has brought cheer in the lives of the people in Jammu and Kashmir also, as elsewhere in the country”, Mr Rana said while addressing people in Panchayat Marh in Nagrota assembly constituency here this afternoon.

Mr Rana said that the holistic development under the cherished mission of the Prime Minister Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas has instilled a sense of confidence among the compatriots that India is going to become third economy of the world in the next term of Yashasvi Modiji and a developed nation by 2047. Just thinking of this makes every Indian proud, he said, adding that the focused attention on Jammu and Kashmir by the Centre during the past four years, after abrogation of Article 370, has enabled the people to become part of the nation’s growth story.

Mr Devender Rana said that the BJP’s two terms since 2014 have brought a discernible turnaround in the developmental landscape, with poor and marginalized segments emerging as biggest beneficiaries. He said that the average income which was around Rs 4 lakh in 2014 has increased to Rs 13 lakh in 2023. The number of people moving from the lower-income group to the upper-income group has also increased, he added.

On other fronts, he said, Indian politics has entered into a new era of bonding with social barriers crashing and ‘nation first’ philosophy becoming the way of life and guiding force to ensure progression of all, irrespective of religion, region or caste. He also referred to the great initiatives taken over the years and implementation of various schemes and welfare programmes with missionary zeal, saying these have resulted in the growth of every section of the society. The agenda of inclusiveness has instilled hope among the people, who have been craving for marching ahead as proud Indians.

Mr Rana said the BJP’s outreach to every single person across the country has unnerved and rattled the elements creating fear psychosis with sinister designs of creating vote banks. In this unholy pursuit they have been spreading negativity and dividing the people on the basis of religion and caste.

Mr Rana also dwelt in detail various path breaking initiatives taken across Jammu and Kashmir during the past four years with an avowed objective of ensuring development, creating infrastructural facilities, strengthening utility services and giving fillip to growth as a result of massive investments. He said the investments will manifest in industrialization on a mega scale thus opening vistas of opportunities for economic empowerment and generation of jobs for professionals, technocrats, educated unemployed besides skilled and unskilled workforce. He said the Union Territory is at the threshold of a new era of peace and progress as per Naya J&K vision of the Prime Minister.
