BHOPAL: Bhupendra Jogi, a prominent social media influencer renowned for his viral reels, became the victim of a brutal attack by unidentified assailants on Tuesday evening. Jogi, widely recognized for his humorous content, particularly a reel parodying YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, was targeted while returning home from his shop.
The incident transpired in the New Market area around 9 PM, where two masked assailants ambushed Jogi, wielding knives. The attack left him with severe injuries, necessitating 37 stitches. Seeking justice, Jogi took to Instagram to appeal to the public for assistance in identifying his attackers.
In an Instagram story, Jogi recounted the harrowing ordeal, stating, “I am Bhupendra Jogi. Yesterday, at 9:30 PM, while returning home from my shop, some people attacked me with a knife… After attacking, they ran away easily, and till now, no one has been able to trace them. Please, all of you, are requested to help me in finding these people and getting justice.”
The Arera Hills Police Station in Bhopal promptly responded to the incident, registering a case under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to attempted murder. Authorities are actively investigating the matter to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure appropriate legal action is taken.
