NEW YORK: A horrific attack has shaken the Bronx community after a masked man choked a woman with a belt and raped her on a deserted street early last week. The incident occurred around 3 am on May 1st near East 152nd Street and Third Avenue. CCTV footage captured the disturbing assault, which shows the unidentified assailant following the 45-year-old victim before using his belt to strangle her. He then dragged her unconscious body between parked cars where he committed the assault.

The victim, who has not been named, bravely sought medical attention at Lincoln Hospital after the attack. She is reportedly in stable condition, but police say she has stopped cooperating with the investigation.

Despite the setback, the NYPD is actively searching for the suspect. They have released images from the security footage, which show the attacker both in a mask and without facial covering. Investigators believe witnesses or someone who recognizes the man may come forward with crucial information.
