JAMMU, February 7th, 2024 – The Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) in Jammu has announced a series of technology-driven updates to its ration card and distribution systems. These advancements are designed to increase transparency, streamline processes, and provide greater convenience for registered beneficiaries.

Online Ration Card
  • Online Ration Card Management: Ration card holders can now modify, add, or delete information on the RCMS Portal (rcms.jk.gov.in) after registering as Head of Family (HoF). Aadhaar linking with the HoF’s mobile number is required.
  • Biometric and OTP Authentication: Ration collection at Fair Price Shops is secured through biometric fingerprint scanners and OTP-based authentication via e-PoS devices.
  • Flexible Ration Collection: Ration is accessible throughout the month at all Fair Price Shops. Beneficiaries should collect their ration only after biometric authentication.
  • Scheme-Specific Authentication: Separate biometric verifications are needed for accessing different ration schemes (such as PMFSS).
  • Detailed Transaction Receipts: Fair Price Shop dealers must provide detailed receipts showing commodity amounts and prices based on ration card category.
  • In-Store e-KYC Services: Aadhar seeding validation in the ration card database occurs via e-KYC at Fair Price Shops.
