NEW DELHI: Suhani Bhatnagar, who memorably portrayed the young Babita Phogat in the critically acclaimed film “Dangal,” has passed away at the age of 19. Reports indicate that complications from a prior leg fracture and subsequent medication led to fluid accumulation throughout her body. Ms. Bhatnagar had been receiving treatment at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. Her funeral will be held today at Ajraunda cremation ground in Sector-15, Faridabad.
Bhatnagar gained significant recognition for her role in the 2016 Aamir Khan film, which chronicled the journey of wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat. She later took a break from acting to focus on her education but expressed a desire to return to the industry after completing her studies.
