SRINAGAR, JANUARY 06: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha joined the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Srinagar, today.

The Lt Governor expressed gratitude to the citizens for their overwhelming participation in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme across the Union Territory and commended their effort to translate accelerated growth under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi into inclusive growth and Developed Bharat.

“Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has infused a sense of self-confidence in the poor and marginalised sections of society. Janbhagidari is the strength of this Yatra and collective strength of people will play a key role in saturation of schemes and economic betterment,” the Lt Governor said.

Reiterating the resolve of the government to promote equitable and inclusive development, the Lt Governor said, under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the welfare schemes and rapid development in all sectors have transformed the lives of the poorest of the poor.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has empowered and enabled common man to stand on their own feet for sustainable income and quality living, he said.

 “Today, the entire nation is proud of what J&K has achieved in the last four years. Our consistent focus is on economic empowerment of women, farmers and youth for growth. We have to make sure they access and fully utilise the opportunities resurgent Jammu Kashmir has to offer,” the Lt Governor further added.

The Lt Governor said the UT Administration is always committed to serve the people with complete dedication and to resolve their issues promptly. He also lauded the endeavours of Srinagar Smart City Limited and Municipal Corporation for transforming Srinagar City into a prime example of urban transformation. He said the massive and first of its kind new year celebration at Lal Chowk to welcome the year 2024 and the festivities till late night is indication of positive change in people’s lives and restoration of Kashmir’s ancient glory.

The Lt Governor administered ‘Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’ pledge to officials and the citizens. He visited the stalls put up by different departments and handed over the sanction letters and benefits to beneficiaries under various schemes.

Beneficiaries also shared their experiences and success stories on the occasion.

Sh Vidhi Kumar Birdi, IGP Kashmir; Sh Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir; Sh Sujit Kumar, DIG CKR Srinagar; Sh Mohammad Aijaz, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar;  Sh Athar Aamir Khan, CEO Srinagar Smart City Limited; senior officers of police and civil administration and people in large number were present.

 REASI, JANUARY 01: In a testament to the collaborative spirit of local governance and community engagement, the Viksit Bharat Salkalp Yatra recently made a resounding impact across two more panchayats  in the Reasi District.

 The momentous event saw the enthusiastic participation of District Development Council members, Block Development Council representatives, other PRI (Panchayati Raj Institutions) members, and a multitude of local residents.

The yatra, spanning Kheralaid and Jamaslan-B served as a vital platform to inform and educate citizens about the various welfare programs and flagship schemes initiated by the government. Amidst vibrant cultural presentations, the focus remained steadfast on sensitizing the local population about the objectives and benefits of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

The proceedings were marked by active participation, with an exchange of ideas and information fostering a deeper understanding of governmental initiatives. DODA, DECEMBER 28: Commissioner Secretary Industries & Commerce, Vikramjit Singh, today held a public outreach programme under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, at Assar.

The visit was aimed to address public grievances and demands besides educating people about numerous government welfare schemes as part of ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign.

Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Secretary urged upon the people to take advantage of government schemes tailored for their socio-economic empowerment. He asked the officials to optimally utilize VBSY platform ensuring saturation of all central government schemes.

During the programme, various public representatives highlighted their issues which inter alia included upgradation of PHC Assar to Trauma Hospital, water sports in Trungul area, re-opening of Gypsum Mining in Assar, restoration of old National Highway in Assar, construction of Sub Divisional Secretariat in Assar, augmentation of roads, schools and other infrastructure.

Commissioner Secretary asked the ADDC Doda to compile and submit the demands along with their technical feasibility reports to his office, so that the same could be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal.

Representatives from various government departments provided detailed information, fostering enthusiasm and active public participation in these initiatives. The events drew large crowds, indicating active engagement and participation of the community.

Later, Commissioner Secretary distributed sanctioned letters of KCC and PMEGP among the beneficiaries besides presenting Soil Health Cards to the farmers. He also administered Viksit Bharat Pledge to the audience during the programme.

Among others SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, ADDC, Pran Singh, GM DIC, SE Jal Shakti, ACD, DTO, other officers of district administration, health officials, officials from Rural Development Department and members of Panchayati Raj Institutions were present on the occasion.

JAMMU, Dec 28: Dr Varinder Sharma, Co-convenor Professional Cell, BJP J&K has lauded the monumental success of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a transformative movement initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This nationwide yatra, he added flagged off on November 15, 2023, is a testament to the government’s commitment to achieving hundred per cent saturation of flagship schemes.

The Yatra, covering 2.60 lakh Gram Panchayats and 4000 plus urban local bodies by January 25, 2024, has rapidly gained momentum, reaching over 2.50 Crore citizens in just one month. He said that Prime Minister Modi’s direct interactions, both virtually and physically, with beneficiaries scattered across length and breadth of India exemplifies a unique feedback mechanism ensuring the effectiveness of central-sponsored schemes without any pilferage.

Dr Varinder Sharma said that notable achievements of this initiative are one hundred per cent ayushman coverage in numerous gram panchayats, Har Ghar Jal connections bringing water to every household, digitized land records for efficient land management and ODF Plus status, a significant stride towards sanitation. These were the spheres where Congress governments never paid any attention for the past 70 years and pushed the people towards miserable situations and complexities.

The BJP’s professional cell co-convenor said that J&K is biggest beneficiary of this Yatra and the story of Ganesh Sharma’s from Katra, Jammu & Kashmir, vividly illustrates the tangible impact of Ayushman Bharat. Suffering from a leg fracture, Ganesh found solace in the government’s intervention, covering his treatment costs through the Ayushman card. This is called good governance where the benefits are directly reaching most deserving beneficiaries, he said. Similarly many commoners from other districts of Union Territory have also benefited from central schemes. Ever since Narendra Modi has taken over the reins of government such initiatives are proving beneficial for common people.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra goes beyond statistics, embodying the transformation evident in the laughter of children with clean water, the pride of a farmer holding his land deed, and the hope in the eyes of a mother securing healthcare for her family, Dr Varinder Sharma said adding that Viksit Bharat is not merely a promise; it is a journey marked by tangible improvements and countless lives transformed. The Yatra aims to create awareness, encourage citizen participation, and ensure the benefits of schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a time-bound manner.

ANANTNAG DECEMBER 26:A momentous demonstration of unwavering commitment to national progress, Administrator Associated Hospitals, Srinagar Hashmat Ali Yatoo joined the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in the picturesque tourist town of Kokernag, Anantnag. This monumental journey underscores the government’s dedication to citizen welfare and the transformative impact of developmental initiatives.

During the ongoing yatra, Administrator Government medical college Srinagar Hashmat Ali Yatoo actively engaged with local residents, assessing the progress of various Central Government Schemes in the region. Thousands of enthusiastic participants commended the Central Government for effectively implementing flagship schemes, directly benefiting the people. Through several impactful events, the tangible outcomes of key initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Kisan Samman Nidhi, and others were vividly showcased. The “Meri Kahani Meri Zabani” sessions allowed individuals to share firsthand experiences, highlighting the real impact of these schemes on their lives.

The health camps, a crucial facet of the Yatra, played a pivotal role by offering screenings to 93,000 individuals, addressing prevalent health concerns including TB (21000 screenings), sickle cell anemia (518 screenings), and non-communicable diseases.

This achievement not only reflects the Yatra’s impact in promoting health and well-being but also signifies its broader role in connecting citizens with essential government initiatives for their betterment.

Beyond being a mere journey, this Yatra stands as a resounding testament to India’s unwavering commitment to development, urging citizens to actively participate in the nation’s progress. The collective efforts of over 1700 dedicated My Bharat volunteers and an impressive 2.20 lakh individuals who pledged the transformative “Sankalp Pledge” in District Anantnag exemplifies a shared vision for positive change.

In recognition of outstanding contributions, accolades were bestowed upon noteworthy contributors, including 1000 remarkable women, 2500 dedicated students, 250 local artists adding cultural vibrancy, and 350 accomplished sports personalities. Furthermore, a noteworthy achievement was marked by 335 instances attaining ODF+ (Open Defecation Free Plus) status, reflecting the concerted efforts towards improved sanitation and hygiene.Of particular significance is the noteworthy registration of 2500 individuals for the PM Ujjwala Yojana, underscoring the resounding success of the campaign in effectively disseminating information and creating awareness about pivotal government welfare schemes.

These achievements not only underscore the Yatra’s commitment to holistic development but also highlight the tangible and transformative outcomes within the realms of agriculture, water management, and sanitation. Such commendable progress serves as a testament to the effectiveness of the Yatra in catalyzing positive change across diverse sectors.

KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 25: Visit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van today visited Chatroo and in collaboration with the Forest Department, hosted an interactive program to raise awareness about various flagship schemes launched by the Prime Minister of India.

The event featured the maiden visit of the Viksit Bharat IEC Van, which captured the attention of over 600 People and staff members.

The program commenced with a warm welcome to people by DFO Marwah Division Vijay Kumar. He emphasized the significance of people’s participation in nation-building and encouraged them to share their ideas on the Viksit Bharat Mission@2047 portal.

 In addition to this, DFO Marwah shared valuable information regarding the New NTFP Forest policy for sustainable collection and utilization of Non-Timber forest Products NTFP in J&K. This policy is aimed at ensuring sustainable collection and utilization of Non-Timber Forest Produce (NTFP), including medicinal plants while providing livelihood support to the people residing in and around forests by promoting sustainable extraction, value addition and development of market linkages. He also shared that the local Forest Division has raised lacs of plants in nurseries and distributed thousands of plants among villagers under Green Mission India.

“Plantation drives have been organized at various places of Marwah Forest Division in which thousands of plants have been planted with the active collaboration of locals, PRIs, and Paramilitary forces to promote the greenery in J&K” he added.

Kalah Nath, delivered a motivating speech, urging locals to contribute their best towards the success of the Viksit Bharat mission. The event also featured informative videos displayed on the LED screen of the Viksit Bharat Van, showcasing government policies aimed at transforming Bharat into a developed nation.

A formal vote of thanks was presented by DFO Vijay Kumar who expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Information and CBC for sending the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van to Chatroo.

The program concluded with a collective pledge by all attendees to make Bharat a developed country by 2047.

As part of the event, IEC materials were distributed among the people, which will play a crucial role in raising awareness about government schemes. Additionally, health camps addressed the community’s health needs by conducting screenings for diseases such as TB, Sickle Cell, and various non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among the people

The community’s active participation turned the event into a joyous celebration, with Government departments taking the lead in elucidating their schemes and guiding citizens on how to leverage these opportunities.

The impactful message from the Hon’ble Prime Minister resonated deeply, capturing the audience’s attention and instilling a sense of commitment towards progress. The Sankalp pledge became a poignant declaration, with individuals expressing their dedication to the ideals upheld by the Sankalp Yatra.

Under the “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” segment, beneficiaries shared compelling stories of how they have personally benefited from Government schemes.

JAMMU, DECEMBER 24: As part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the Special IEC Van today made its impactful presence felt at Panchayat Pounthal in block Dansal.

Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma graced the occasion, emphasising the significance of this nationwide initiative.

The entire event was orchestrated with precision, where stakeholder departments showcased respective schemes through stalls, pamphlets, posters and exhibitions well coordinated by BDO Dansal Joni Kumar.   Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Manjeet Singh was also present.  The students of Government Middle School Pounthal added a cultural flair to the proceedings, participating in debate activities and skits centred around the theme of National Integration.

The VBSY Van, upon arrival, was welcomed with flower petals, setting the stage for the display of the PM’s message and the achievements under different government schemes in Pounthal.

In a similar event, the VBSY Van reached panchayat Dager in block Kharah Balli, receiving a warm welcome from the Swagat Committee and PRI representatives. Other prominent citizens also graced the occasion, aligning with the Yatra’s spirit.

The van projected PM Modi’s video message, inspiring the audience to pledge their commitment to the progress and prosperity of the nation. A compelling Nukkad Natak against drug abuse captivated the crowd, followed by cultural performances by students. A health camp provided free screenings for NCD, accompanied by the distribution of prizes, T-shirts and caps.

Line department representatives actively engaged with the public, explaining government schemes and distributing informative material. The public availed free health care services under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, sharing their success stories through ‘Mari Kahaani Meri Zubaani’.

These events, including one at panchayat Meshian in block Miran Sahib and MC Khour as well, seamlessly integrated into the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, amplifying its impact and spreading awareness about government initiatives.

On the occasion, individuals, communities and students came together to take a collective pledge for a Viksit Bharat, symbolizing a commitment towards development and progress of our nation.

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra witnessed a spectacular display of cultural diversity  by Government Model Girls Higher Secondary School Reasi and Nakkud Natak by Sangam Theatre Group.

The Principal Secretary along with District Development Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan, inspected stalls established by various government departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Health, Animal Husbandry, Handloom, and Handicraft showcasing their respective schemes.

The officers and officials from multiple departments engaged with general public, shedding light on vital schemes including Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), and Poshan Abhiyan.

Prashant Goyal emphasized the importance of community participation in success of these initiatives. “The active involvement of citizens is crucial for effective implementation of government schemes. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra provides a unique opportunity for people to connect with the authorities and contribute to the development process.

The ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’ segment was particularly impactful, featuring firsthand accounts from beneficiaries sharing their success stories. These narratives highlighted the tangible benefits and positive changes brought about by the government’s welfare programs.

He also distributed cheques under PMEGP and Pension Sanction Letters among the beneficiaries.

Later, Principal Secretary Prashant Goyal inaugurated the Common Facilitation Center of Industries and Commerce Department marking a significant stride in advancing industrial infrastructure and fostering economic growth in the region.

DDC Chairman, Saraf Singh Nag, while addressing the gathering, expressed hope that the VBSY shall benefit the last man in the row in the farthest village of district Reasi.

Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra successfully engages citizens, promoting government’s flagship schemes

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 23: The ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ (VBSY) culminated on Saturday with great success in the Srinagar city.

Over the course of nine days, the yatra traversed all Municipal wards of the city, including Ward No.33 (Humhama), Ward No.34 (Pantha Chowk), and Ward No.35 (Bagh-e-Mehtab) today, engaging citizens and promoting the government’s flagship schemes.

From December 15th, 2023, the yatra reached 35 locations, including prominent areas such as Nishat, Lal Chowk, Dal, Kralyar, Habakadal, Zainakadal, Khanyar, Makhdoom Sahib, Madin Sahib, Hawal, Lal Bazar, Hazratbal, Batpora, Zakura, Ahmad Nagar, Soura, Nowshera, Safa Kadal, Palpora, Jamalatta, Islamyarbal, Karanagar, Qamarwari, Bemina, Parimpora, Lawaypora, Khomani Chowk, Batmaloo, Magarmal Bagh and Jawahar Nagar.

 The enthusiastic participation of a large number of people underscored the yatra’s focus on achieving the widespread implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).

The primary objectives of the yatra was to aware and facilitate the access to all essential government schemes viz. Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM PRANAM Yojana, Urea Subsidy Scheme and PM SVANidhi.

Throughout the yatra, government departments established stalls at each location to offer on-the-spot services such as free health check-ups, Aadhaar card issuance and updates, and loans under the PM SVANidhi Yojana. Thousands of beneficiaries availed different CSSs.

The yatra also witnessed huge pledge participation from the general public and government officials, affirming their commitment to contribute towards the vision of a developed India.

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 22: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today remarked that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) a transformative movement of citizen awareness, empowerment, saturation of beneficiary oriented schemes towards making Bharat a developed Nation.

The Advisor made these remarks while actively participating in the ongoing nationwide campaign, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, at Panchayat Rathian West of Udhampur district.

DDC Chairman, Udhampur, Lal Chand; Deputy Commissioner, Saloni Rai;  SSP, Joginder Singh, senior officers of district administration, BDC Chairpersons, DDC members, PRI representatives, and large number of locals also participated in the yatra.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Advisor Bhatnagar underlined that  Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a transformative movement for development from grass root level and it aims to create awareness among citizens regarding different welfare schemes for ensuring 100% saturation and also seek their participation in the spirit of ‘Jan Bhagidari’.

The Advisor further highlighted thag transformative initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir like JJM Har Ghar Jal, strengthening power distribution, NEP implementation in schools, HADP projects in agriculture, and advancements in the health sector have amplified the development as well as economic prosperity of the UT. He emphasized on the importance of digitisation and Public Service Guarantee Act in streamlining government services for the benefit of common masses.

Advisor Bhatnagar, in his address,   urged PRI members and government officers to achieve 100% saturation of welfare schemes before January 26. He also called for active participation in India’s developmental journey and saturation of government schemes for  welfare of all residents.

The Advisor, on the occasion, also expressed gratitude for the participants and applauded the District Administration for organising this event.

Advisor Bhatnagar, accompanied by DDC Chairman and Deputy Commissioner, on the occasion took round  of  stalls established by various government departments, reviewing schemes and encouraging public participation.

The event also featured the Viksit Bharat Sankalp pledge, with the Advisor, BDCs, DDCs, District officers,

PRIs, and locals reaffirming their commitment to the nation’s development. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s message also resonated through an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van on the occasion, capturing the attention of audience.

‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’ success stories from beneficiaries of various schemes, adding a personal touch to the event besides cultural performances by school students on ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke,’ added vibrancy to the occasion.

The Advisor also distributed  Baby kits under BBBP, Sports kits, KCC smart cards, Brush cutters, Loan sanction letters, Abhinandan Patra, and Sehat cards under Ayushman Bharat Scheme among the beneficiaries, on the occasion.

Raman Kumar reaffirms govt’s commitment towards education, skill development

RAMBAN, DECEMBER 22: As part of government’s transformative initiative, the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,” Secretary in Power Development Department, Raman Kumar Kesar, today visited Gool block in Ramban district and engaged in various events besides interacting with locals and students.

The Secretary chaired the main event at Kalimasta Panchayat under VBSY, where he shared Prime Minister’s vision behind the Yatra. The aim is to enhance awareness among rural communities and facilitate the utilization of government welfare schemes, he added. He emphasized today’s initiative as a means to sensitize Kalimasta Panchayat residents about various government schemes and programs geared towards socio-economic empowerment.

Commending the progress achieved in Ramban under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Secretary stressed the importance of collective efforts by all stakeholders in promoting grassroots development and empowerment. He highlighted the government’s commitment towards education and skill development besides emphasizing collaboration between departments, PRIs and community based organizations for sustainable and inclusive panchayat development.

“The VBSY initiative has significantly contributed towards improving accessibility to education, enhancing health infrastructure, and fostering entrepreneurship and skill development across Jammu & Kashmir,” maintained the Secretary.

The IEC vans covered 132 panchayats in the district visiting Ind, Dheeda, Mahakund and Kalimasta. This initiative, part of VBSY, has benefited thousands at their doorsteps by generating awareness about various flagship government schemes.

During the event, the beneficiaries shared their success stories, highlighting tangible benefits from government welfare schemes through “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani.” The Viksit Bharat Sankalp pledge was administered to participants, symbolizing a collective commitment towards progress and development.

He also laid the foundation stone for 50-bedded Ayush integrated hospital at Ghagwal. The Hospital will provide Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathic healthcare facilities to the people.

Addressing a public gathering, the Lt Governor said the enthusiasm of all sections of society towards Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is also a symbol of Aspirational Jammu Kashmir which has complete faith in responsiveness of the government to mitigate all the challenges.

Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we are committed to safeguard the rights of weaker section of society and ensure that the benefits of the development reach every household, the Lt Governor said.

“100% saturation of all schemes, fulfilment of basic needs of every family, improved standard of living of all citizens will enhance the inherent potential of the society, productivity and propel employment generation and prosperity,” he said.

The Lt Governor impressed upon the PRI members, political leaders, youth and officials of district administration to discharge their responsibility towards the society and ensure that no beneficiary is left behind.

On the occasion, the beneficiaries of flagship schemes shared their experience.

The Lt Governor visited the stalls put up by government departments, and handed over sanction letters to beneficiaries under various schemes. He felicitated the women achievers, and PRI members for their contribution to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Jal Jeevan Mission.‘Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’ pledge was also administered to the people.

The yatra van was welcomed by the local residents and the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the information of various schemes implemented in the town were screened on a huge LED mounted on the IEC Van.

The yatra was organised under the guidance of Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Anil Kumar Thakur.

The officials from different departments had set up stalls to share the information about flagship schemes by distributing pamphlets, posters and exhibits. The people appreciated the district administration for reaching out and organising such a beneficial and informative program at their doorsteps.
